Fireworks Rules and Fire Safety in Hamilton County

There are a number of holidays in American that are typically celebrated with fireworks or noise makers.  Whenever celebrating with fireworks or noise makers, it is wise to be familiar with the ordinances in your community concerning such items.  For example, City officials in Carmel, Fishers, and Noblesville each have a series of ordinances limiting the days and times when residents can legally shoot off fireworks.  City officials determined that this was necessary due to the increasing frequency of fireworks use in each community causing a nuisance in those communities.

Anne Poindexter Wins her Primary Election!

Anne Poindexter, a founding member of Altman, Poindexter & Wyatt LLC, was on the ballot for Precinct Committeeman for Hazel Dell Precinct 251.  Mrs. Poindexter won her primary election with over 54% of the vote in a three way race!  Mrs. Poindexter is excited about the renewed interest in service to the party as shown by the great number of contested precinct races this election cycle.

Directing Your Health Care Decisions

It happens more often than you know.  A loved one is in an accident or becomes ill to the point where they are incapacitated and unable to make their own health care decisions.  Family members are then left to make those decisions for their loved one, but the family members disagree.  The family, who is already reeling from their loved one being hospitalized and in critical condition, then is forced to take their family dispute to a judge to resolve.  Even after the judge rules, however, the hurt feelings and emotions follow the family and impact their family relationships for quite some time.

Putting Your Past Behind You!

A person’s past should not haunt them forever.  Yet all too often good people who made mistakes that resulted in criminal convictions, or even just an arrests, have to deal with those past mistakes over and over again.  From applying for a job, to trying to get back into school, a person’s past arrests or convictions can prevent a person from trying to get their life on the right track.  It is for these reasons that Indiana has a “Second Chance Law.”
